Evamaria Schaller­’s art is char­ac­ter­ized by an in­tens­ive ex­plor­a­tion of so­cial, polit­ic­al, and cul­tur­al is­sues, which she con­veys through power­ful, often pro­voc­at­ive per­form­ances. Her per­form­ances, which take place both in­doors and out­doors, deeply re­flect on the human body and its in­ter­ac­tions with space, time, and so­ci­ety. She chal­lenges es­tab­lished norms and con­ven­tions and ex­plores the bound­ar­ies of the body and its phys­ic­al re­si­li­ence.

By using pub­lic spaces as a stage, Evamaria Schaller blurs the line between art and every­day life. The act­ive in­volve­ment of the audi­ence ques­tions the tra­di­tion­al role of the spec­tat­or, prompt­ing a con­front­a­tion with the per­form­ance that stim­u­lates both in­tel­lec­tu­al and emo­tion­al en­gage­ment.
